Mandate of the OTA is mainly focused on suppression and mitigation of the hostile activities affecting national security interests and to that end, rapid detection and neutralization of the threats existing in cyber domain in close coordination with responsible state agencies. One of the OTA’s core functions is to provide executive branch of the State with necessary information and communication technologies and related services.
Gathering intelligence using modern information and communication technologies on the threats directed against constitutional order, sovereignty, territorial integrity, defense potential and public order of the State;
In line with the relevant intelligence and counterintelligence regulatory legislative framework, gather and monitor network traffic with the aim to identify hostile activities affecting constitutional order, sovereignty, territorial integrity, defense potential and public order of the State;
Managing implementation process of the Information Security Management System at the I and II Tier of Critical Informational System Subjects;
Rapid identification, further handling and eradication of the cybersecurity incidents directed against I and II Tier Critical Informational System Subjects;
Conducting preventive cybersecurity measures: Penetration Testing and Information Security Auditing at I and II Tier Critical Informational System Subjects;
Detection of CBRN Threats using modern information and communication technologies;
Providing information and communication technologies and related services to the relevant state agencies;
Creation and further development of the interagency E-document turnover system- Eflow and Interflow;
Coordination of provision of the Advanced Passenger Information (API)/Passenger Name Record (PNR) related services on a national level;
Creation and further development of classified state owned information exchange system;
By virtue of relevant court decision, gathering criminal intelligence within the framework of pending criminal cases using modern information and communication technologies and for these purposes conducting following technical investigative measures:
