Introduction of the Cyber Incident Information-Sharing Platform

On March 2 2026, the Operative-Technical Agency of Georgia convened a Workshop with I Tier Critical Informational System Subjects and introduced Cyber Incident Information Sharing Platform classified as MISP (Malware Information Sharing Platform) enabling the bidirectional exchange of computer incident related digital artifacts (partially) together and cybersecurity incident related metadata also referred as the Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
In course of the Meeting, the participants raised various questions and requested additional clarifications regarding the functional specificity of the presented ICT resource. Those inquiries were comprehensively addressed through MISP live demonstration and testing conducted by OTA’s State Information and Cybersecurity Center.
Currently, more than half of the designated critical information system subjects have been already integrated into the MISP actively employing it while sharing and receiving pertinent cyber incident associated metadata alongside other metrics essential for identifying anomalous or suspicious processes. The Agency intends to finalize the registration process for all entities falling under its regulatory mandate by the end of 2026.
To that end, it shall be also underpinned that the the successful implementation of the MISP is in line and serves effective enforcement of the statutory obligations prescribed under Article 10(Para 7) of the Law of Georgia "On Information Security” and Articles 7 and 8 of the “Rule of the Classification of Computer Incidents” approved by Governmental Decree N85 dated on February 23, 2022.
